Did Christ Destroy God’s Law?

Did Christ Destroy God’s Law?

The laws of the Bible are usually ignored by the masses of people today involved in the worlds various religions and philosophies. As a result Christianity and Islam and other philosophies are blindly followed by so-called Blacks, Hispanics and indigenous people throughout the four corners of the earth. .

The premises of these religions/philosophies are traditions and opinions of men/women that willfully ignore the laws of the Most High creator.

Nonetheless, in reading this essay you will be able to discern that the laws of the bible are NOT done away with.

Genesis 2:3: “And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he rested from all his work which God created and made.”

Proving the Most High’s first law was making the seventh day a holy day for man.
Let’s continue with Genesis 2:16: “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:” Verse 17: ” But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
This verse proves that the first words spoken to man were “LAW”! We then read into the history how judgment was carried out upon the disobedience of both Adam and Eve.
Followed by the law of thou shalt not murder in the history of Cain and Abel.

We later read about Noah. During his time the Most high judged the entire Earth for being evil. Genesis 6:5 “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”
Proving there had to be established laws for judgment to be passed otherwise how could you determine what’s evil and what’s good?
Noah also understood the difference between Clean animals and unclean as in the dietary law that came later on. Genesis 7:2 “Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.”
We then read about Abraham in fear for his life, gives his wife Sarah to Abimelech King of Gerar. Genesis 20:6 “And God said unto him in a dream, yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from SINNING against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.”
Abimelech was angry when he realized he almost committed adultery. They obviously knew what sin was as in 1 John 3:4 “Whosoever committeth SIN transgresseth also the LAW: for SIN is the transgression of the LAW.”
Proving the LAW was established from Genesis.

The prophet Moses declared in Deuteronomy 4:8 “And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgemnets so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?”

In the Apocrypha Baruch 4:1 ” This is the book of the commandments of God, and the law that endureth for ever: all they that keep it shall come to life; but such as leave it shall die”

The bible entails the commandments of the Heavenly Father that were given to the children of Israel that exist forever. These righteous commandments must be kept in the faith of Jesus Christ. The consequence of being rebellious to the commandments of the Most High follows in the latter of the scripture… ‘but such as leave it shall die” (Meaning those that willfully break the laws of the Most High will perish)

Repenting Israelites must understand that the laws of the bible must be kept to attain salvation/the kingdom of heaven.
Psalms 119:166 “Lord, I have hoped for thy salvation, and DONE thy COMMANDMENTS.”

Psalms 111:10 ” The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.”
This scripture clearly points out to truly understand the scriptures you must be obedient to the commandments of the Bible.

Deuteronomy 10:12 ” And now Israel what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God to walk in all his ways, and to love him and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul Verse 13 ” To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

In essence, what is required of the Israelites scattered throughout the earth is to keep the laws of the Bible as it is written.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 ” Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man”

This scripture solidifies our sole purpose on earth is to keep the laws of the bible thru the Saviour of Israel -Christ. The reason why you ought to fear the Heavenly Father is because his judgments are severe for the breaking of his commandments.

As you read this report you may think that all the scriptures referenced are from the Old Testament.

Therefore because of false teachings, philosophies and religions, the Old Testament has been falsely taught/interpreted as laws that no longer have to be applied. The widely used quotes by False teachers regarding the keeping of the law is ” IT was Only For Back Then” or ” That only pertained to the OLD Covenant” or “You don’t have to do those laws for salvation” These are the deceitful quotes made by false teachers to sway the faith of the Lord’s people, the Israelites.

Isaiah 8:20 ” To the law and to the testimony (the bible consists of laws and testimonies of Christ): if they speak not according to this word, (Meaning those who teach contrary to the laws of the bible) it is because there is no light in them.”
Anyone who does not speak according to God’s LAW and testimony has no light; no truth in them!

The prophet Isaiah constantly prophesied the coming of Christ even in the 42nd chapter.
Isaiah 42:21 “The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake; he will magnify the LAW, and make it honorable.”
This prophesy proves that when Christ walked the earth he magnified the law of the Most High and made it honorable among Israel. Any one teaching otherwise has no light in them.

Here is what Christ told Satan.
Matthew 4:4 ” But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God”

Christ is letting us know that every word is referring to the whole bible, which contains the Laws and Commandments. The Apostle Paul agreed we must live by every word in the scriptures,
2nd Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Proving ALL scriptures from Genesis to Revelation are inspired by God Almighty, benefits your life as doctrine, are to be used for correction, and for instruction in righteousness (in Christ).
Those two scriptures now give us a better understanding of
Matthew 22:36 “Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
verse 37: Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
verse 38: This is the first and great commandment.
verse 39: And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
verse 40: On these two commandments hang ALL THE LAW and the prophets.
Proving “all the law” and “every word” and “all scriptures” are saying the same thing. We must do everything the bible teaches.

Let’s read what Christ tells his disciples-
Matthew 5:17 ” Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy but to fulfill.”
Proving Christ did not come to destroy the Laws as the unlearned teach.Christ came and fulfilled what was written of him in the scriptures.
Luke 24:44 “And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms concerning me.”
Proving Christ did not come to do away with the law nor do away with any of the prophecies. Christ kept the commandments in their perfection and reminded the disciples he did not come to destroy the law but rather fulfill the prophecies regarding his initial walk, death and resurrection for Israel.

Matthew 5:18 ” For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”

One small jot of the law neither one small tittle of the law would pass until ALL be fulfilled is explained in Luke 21:22 “For these be the days of vengeance, that ALL things which are written may be fulfilled.”
Christ was prophesying the destruction of Jerusalem in 70A.D.wherein all those laws that pertained to the Levitical priesthood were passed from the law. The Romans killed and enslaved the Levitical Priests, destroyed the Temple; doing away with the meat offerings, drink offerings, and divers washings and carnal ordinances that came with the covenant of Levi. Read Hebrews chapters 7,8,9,10 and Malachi chapter 2.

Matthew 5:19 ” Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven( Means Death): but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
Proving we must do the law and teach the law to enter the kingdom of heaven and we are forbidden to teach anyone to break even the least of the commandments. Matthew 23:23 shows us some least commandments the Lord said to do under the levitical order but understand that there are greater laws to be observed first.
Matthew 23:23 “Woe unto you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!for ye pay TITHE of mint and anise and cumin ( tithes of spices is least), and have omitted the weightier (greater)matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done and NOT to leave the other undone(tithe of spices).”
So Christ is teaching us what we need to do for salvation.

Matthew5:20 “For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.”

The Pharisees taught the Israelites to keep the laws but they themselves never kept the commandments. They were hypocrites.
Christ is clearly stating that the laws must be kept to surpass the righteousness of the Pharisees. Read Matthew 23: 1-3, Matthew 15:7-9

Matthew 19:16 ” And behold one came and said unto him, Good Master what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?

Matthew 19:17 ” And he said unto him Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God: but if thou wilt enter into life keep the commandments”
Matthew 19:18 “He saith unto him which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
Matthew 19:19 “Honor thy father and thy Mother:and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thy self.”
Christ is letting us know the remedy to attain salvation is in keeping the commandments. Christ emphasizes only a few laws for that man he spoke with to understand. Unlearned and unstable persons claim those commandments mentioned in Matthew 19:18,19 are all we need to do to be saved. However notice Christ did not mention “Thou shalt have no other gods before the Most High, Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images to bow down and worship, Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord in vain neither Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Does that mean we can worship other gods? or graven images? Can we take the Lords name in Lies? Can we pollute the Sabbath? NO of course not. Christ gave a brief answer for THAT man.

Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and for ever.”
The Messiah is the same as the prophecies foretell (yesterday) and the New Testament fulfilled (today and forever-even now).

1st John 2:3 ” And hereby we do know that we know him (Christ), if we keep his commandments”
Verse 4: ” He that saith I know him (Christ) and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar and the truth is not in him.”
Verse 5 ” But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.”
Verse 6 ” He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”
Israelites must follow Christ by keeping the commandments because Christ taught and lived the commandments.

The Apostle Paul, a follower of Christ also writes that the commandments must be kept as well.
Romans 2: 13 “For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified”
The Israelites that keep the laws in the faith of Christ are JUST in the eyes of the Lord.

However, the question that tends to arise in our people’s minds is do I have to keep all the laws of the Bible? Or Do I just need to say I LOVE JESUS and love my neighbor as myself ? Is that sufficient for me to attain the Kingdom of Heaven? The Apostle Paul addressed the love of Jesus doctrine way back then, to the Israelites living in Rome. Some thought just have faith/love was enough and therefore there was no need for God’s Laws.

Romans 3:31 “Do we then make void the law through faith? Do we say the commandments are no more because we believe in Christ? … God Forbid (Meaning NO!) yea we establish the law.”
To establish the law is to keep the commandments of the bible.

Romans 6:1 “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin ( breaking God’s laws) that grace may abound (That Christ may forgive us over and over? ).
Verse 2 ” God Forbid (Means NO!) …

Nonetheless there are many doctrines throughout the earth that twist the holy scriptures.
Even during the time of the Apostles when certain men tried to pervert the gospel of Christ by saying that the covenant of Levi/old covenant (by being circumcised by the levitical priests) was the way to salvation. Read Malachi 2 and Acts 15
Galatians 1:7 ” Which is not another but there is some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel in Christ.”
Galatians 1:8 ” But though we or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”

Colossians 2:8 ” Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit (Meaning lies) after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”
Again during this time period you had wicked men that tried to glorify the Levitical Priesthood and reject Christ of the tribe of Judah as the High Priest.
The Apostle Paul proclaimed concerning them,
1 Timothy 1:7 “Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. Verse 8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; verse 9 : Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
verse 10: For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
verse 11: According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.”
Those verses prove the law is for all of us because there is none righteous. Furthermore in verse 11 Paul proves that the LAW is according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God.

1st John 5:3 ” For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”
To follow the laws of the bible in Christ is not burdensome if you truly Love the Heavenly Father and Christ.

2nd John 6 ” And this is the love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, that as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it”

Without a shadow of a doubt it is evident that the bible teaches us that the laws must be kept in Christ to attain salvation. To truly demonstrate your love for the Most High and Christ you must keep the commandments with sincerity.

Proverbs 3:1 My son forget not my law; but let thine heart (Meaning your mind) keep my commandments Verse 2 ” For length of days, and long life and peace, shall they add to thee.”

Jeremiah 3: 15 ” And I will give you pastors according to mine heart (Meaning teachers that keep the laws) which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.”

Revelation 14:12 “Here is the patience of the saints; here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

Revelation 22:14 “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of Life, and may enter in through the gates of the city.”

In conclusion it is imperative that the Israelites keep the laws of the bible to attain salvation in the faith of Christ.
We would like to give All Praises to the Heavenly Father and Christ for allowing us to convey the truth as it is written in the Bible.
